Our Story of Growth and Transformation

1999: The Beginning

  • SynergyGroup was born in a spare room of a flat in Clapham, London. Our vision was to redefine business communications.

2004: Embracing Innovation

  • As early adopters of IP telephony and VoIP, we embraced cloud technologies that revolutionised how businesses operate. This was a celebratory moment for our founder Leon, who could finally trade in the pain of installing traditional phone lines for the mobility and flexibility of next-generation voice solutions.

2005: Focussing On The Future

  • Recognising the immense potential of cloud telephony, we sold our legacy phone system business to Gamma. This allowed us to focus solely on the benefit cloud telephony services would bring to the SMB, Mid-Market and Enterprise market places.

2010: Pioneers In IP

  • Leveraging the insights gained from deploying Hosted IP and SIP solutions for enterprise customers, we quickly became experts in implementing and maintaining national and international voice networks. We distilled this high-level thinking to successfully engage with smaller businesses. Our expertise enabled us to provide our customers with robust and reliable communication solutions, further cementing our position as industry leaders. We brought enterprise-grade Hosted IP to major customers such as Odgers Berndtson, Express Newspapers, Channel 5, Deepminds, The Health Lottery, YouView TV, and smaller organisations alike.

2015: Embracing Change

  • In a rapidly evolving technological landscape, we understood the need to adapt and grow. We expanded our services beyond telephony, becoming a single point of contact for all technology needs: IT Support, Cyber Security, Internet Connectivity, and Mobiles.

2016: Global Reach

  • Our partnership with 8×8 marked a significant milestone, enabling us to provide global unified communications coverage. This expansion allowed us to support our customers’ growth into global territories.

2019: Ahead Of The Curve

  • We foresaw the value of a “Distributed Workforce” model and embarked on an exercise to test its viability. This forward-thinking approach gave us and our customers an advantage when the world faced unprecedented lockdowns.

2020: People Over Profit

  • During the pandemic, we stayed true to our company culture and put “People over Profit”. We provided financial and operational support to all our customers, assisting them in rebuilding their businesses post-pandemic.

2022: Cyber Health Check

  • Understanding the increasing importance of cyber security, we launched our market-leading Cyber Health Check. This tool provides an unbiased evaluation of a company’s current cyber posture and guides future investment.

Today

  • We proudly support clients across the UK and globally. Our simplified support of streamlined service through single point of contact enables business owners to focus on growing their business, achieving their goals, and frequently reaching the point of exit and only having to deal with us for any issues regarding technology, solutions.
